Let's Get Personal
I received my Bachelor of Science from Purdue University in Elementary Education with an Endorsement in Learning Disabilities. I loved teaching in the classroom for 11 years where I loved my students and coworkers. In addition to that, I taught in a Catholic school where I was able to share my faith every day. However, after 11 years, I came to realize that something had to change. I was facing severe burnout as I worked overtime every night, six days a week and I was unable to “turn off” my work-mode mindset.
My health became weakened through a diagnosis of Hashimoto’s as well.
After years of infertility, going from doctor appointments upon appointments, and not really getting answers, I made a tough decision. I began researching about my health and decided to retire early from teaching, as the stress of working long hours was not making fertility any better.
My life was not turning out as I expected it.
I am not sure if it ever does.
It is during the most difficult times and transitions, where you find out who you really are. I learned so much about myself and how I can add to my health through food and other environmental choices. I also have worked with different holistic practitioners on supplementation over the years too.
After years of making changes towards my health and committing to educate myself, the healthier exchanges have changed my life. The “exchanges” became a lifestyle for me and I also knew that God would open doors and answer many questions to the trials I was facing, as He makes all things new.
Here I am today--- out of the daily classroom of teaching to my “new” classroom of helping educate all ages on healthier lifestyle exchanges.
I am a life-learner and read daily to continue to educate myself on nutrition. In 2013, I earned my Fitness and Nutrition Certification from Penn Foster Career School. Over the years I've discovered my passion is to give workshops, coach individuals at one-on-one appointments, and speak at large and small group engagements. It's rewarding to help my clients see big and small changes within themselves.
Today, I am grateful to say that my life is more balanced than it ever has been. I feel stronger, more empowered, healthier and I have energy when I wake up in the morning. One of the greatest gifts I have been given is being able to still be a “teacher.”
I heard this phrase a long time ago, “Once a teacher, always a teacher.”

I believe this to be true as I:
-
teach healthy living and nutrition to all ages
-
mentor and support high schoolers in their faith journey in my church as their Youth Leader for 10 years
-
have another rewarding job of teaching second graders Faith Formation every week for the past five years
-
share my passion for my daily routine that includes my favorite toxin-free personal care products that work
-
help others start their own health and wellness business too
God definitely uses our personal challenges to help others as we continue to evolve and grow in Him.
